Team 9400 participated the Bobcat Book Exchange Event (Basis Independent Silicon Valley's book event) at the Evergreen Farmer's Market and also promoted our team.
During the book exchange, members of Team 9400 handed out flyers and talked to many people to promote FRC! We met many people, such as old classmates and even a man who used to work in IBM during the 1960s!
Members of Team 9400 hosted a learning session and workshop for grade schoolers, teaching them basic programming and an introduction to Python.
BagelBytes guided 9-11 year old kids to build Corsi-Rosenthal air purifiers to donate to a NPO. The kids learned the importance of pure air and how air filters are becoming more and more essential.
BagelBytes guided 4th graders in Lucha Elementary School to build Corsi-Rosenthal air purifiers to donate to a NPO. They learned the importance of air purifiers and built their own air purifiers!
BagelBytes encouraged kids from ages 9-12 to make their own 3D models of gingerbread houses for holiday celebration. During the workshop, the kids learnt about teamwork and collaborated with each other to make gingerbread houses together.
Team members from the BagelBytes went all the way to Davis and got to visit the the Citrus Circuits lab for a tour! We learned a lot more about the operations of a robotics team and gained a lot of insightful advice from Citrus. We are extremely grateful for this opportunity.
Our outreach leads have decided that it would be great to teach basic physics concepts using rubber-band carts. During the workshop, we split students into groups of 2 to create rubber band carts together using the basic physics concepts they learned during the outreach.
